If an EPS claim message has been submitted under the wrong exemption category, you may be able to amend this through your EPS software.

The facility to amend a claim within the reimbursement period is now available, if your system supplier has developed and tested an update to your system.

Claims can be 'corrected' within the reimbursement period. This runs to the fifth day of the month after the prescription was dispensed and the claim notification sent.

If the patient was age exempt, the system will automatically switch this to exempt. It will do this in exactly the same way it would do on a paper FP10.
