If an orthodontic appliance is removed for medical reasons can I make another claim?

The 21UOAs credited at the commencement of a course of orthodontic treatment cover the provision of all necessary treatment to achieve the best possible outcome. This includes the removal of the appliances to facilitate medical diagnostic tests, or surgical treatment, and their subsequent replacement. Therefore the procedure should be free of charge to the patient, at the provider's expense, with no further UOAs credited.
