The Clinical Data Set section of the FP17 includes ‘Filled Teeth - Permanent’ and 'Filled Teeth - Deciduous’ and refers to the patient’s Decayed, Missing and Filled (DMF) score.
Filled Teeth - Permanent
The FP17 must report the number of permanent teeth that have been restored due to decay as clinically necessary.
This includes:
- inlays
- onlays
- crowns
- fillings
- root-fillings
- temporary restorations
This must be completed for all patients aged 12 and over. If there are none, a value of zero must be entered.
Filled Teeth - Deciduous
The FP17 must report the number of deciduous teeth that have been restored due to decay as clinically necessary, including any temporary restorations.
This must be completed for all patients aged 6 and over. If there are none, a value of zero must be entered.
