DMF data aims to collect information about patient's oral health during each assessment.
The information must collected whenever an examination is needed. This applies to Bands 1, 2 and 3 but does not apply to Band 4 (Urgent Treatment) and other treatments which do not require an examination.
For example, if a patient has one filled tooth at the point of entering the practice but you plan to fill another as part of the treatment, you will record one filled tooth only.
