You should complete the claim according to the patient's preferred gender identity. You will then need to contact our Helpdesk who will arrange for our Claims Processing Team to advise you.

If the patient's gender is male and they are pregnant or a nursing mother, complete the claim showing the appropriate indicators, including the exemption and submit the claim. It will reject showing error code @125 - 'Expected or Nursing Mother where the patient is male'.

If the patient is subject to further treatment within two months or receives a free repair / replacement, the claim will reject under error code 869 - 'Further treatment within 2 months invalid' or 870 - 'Free Repair/Replacement within 12 months invalid' if the gender differs from the original claim.
