If you've recently taken over a contract and have been issued a new contract number, you must get authorisation from your Commissioner to submit continuation or guarantee claims under your new contract that follow on from claims originally completed on the old contract number.

If the Commissioner has used the 'Contract Provider Change' process on Compass and the contract number has not changed when you took over, you can submit you continuation or guarantee claims as normal without any authorisation.

If the Commissioner is prepared to authorise continuation or guarantee claims to be submitted on your new contract number, they must request this by email to our claims processing department at dental.charges@nhsbsa.nhs.uk.

Once your Commissioner has contacted us with details of the patient they want to authorise you to claim for, we'll contact you with information on when you can submit these.
