In England, if no other dental treatment has been carried out, you must submit an FP17 form for the issue of an NHS prescription using the Charge Exempt Treatment only code. You do not receive any Units of Dental Activity (UDA).

If other treatment has been carried out, the prescription must be included on this claim.

In Wales, a prescription only claim will only be accepted under the Miscellaneous Care Package if no other treatment is provided. The patient will not pay for this and the practice will not receive the package fee.
