If you start receiving a qualifying benefit or a valid exemption certificate during your course of treatment, you do not need to pay.

You'll be asked to sign a declaration confirming you're entitled to help with the cost of your dental treatment.

You must be pregnant at the start of your course of treatment to qualify for free NHS dental treatment.

If you've already made payment towards your dental treatment and the treatment is still ongoing, the dental practice must refund any charges paid.

If this is not possible or your course of treatment has ended, claim a refund using an HC5(D) form.
