How do I find out if a childcare provider is OFSTED registered?

You can find out by visiting the OFSTED website:

1. Select Find an inspection report.
2. Enter the name, Unique Reference Number (URN) or a keyword.
3. Enter the location or postcode.
4. Select Search.
5. Select the childcare provider from the list.

If the childcare provider does not appear on the list, check the details entered are correct.

If they’re correct, the childcare provider is not OFSTED registered.

The OFSTED registration number is the ‘URN’.
