GMS is the national standard GP contract to deliver ‘core’ medical services, negotiated nationally every year between NHS England and the British Medical Association’s (BMA) England General Practitioners Committee (GPC).

PMS is another form of core contract but negotiated and agreed locally by the commissioner with a practice or practices. These contracts are subject to local variations.

We calculate the dispensing and administrating fees for GMS and PMS practices from what they submit each month.

The Sub ICB Location (SICBL) pay these to GMS practices only.

If you’re a PMS practice and would like to query your dispensing fees, you’ll need to contact your SICBL. They may make an alternative payment.
