If you've had temporary or occasional absences from the UK within the 3 years before the first day of the first academic year, you can upload evidence of:
- temporary employment abroad such as a contract of employment or letter from employer
- a gap year
- continued links to the UK such as proof of liability for UK tax, ongoing mortgage payments or regular return visits to the UK
- Armed Forces personnel on active service such as payslips or a letter from employer
- visitors visas
- maintaining a UK home while abroad
This evidence can also be used to prove absences from the EU were temporary if your application is for tuition fees only.
If you cannot upload any of this evidence, upload a covering letter confirming:
- why you cannot upload any of the evidence requested
- the reasons for the absence
- your circumstances while in another country
You must upload any other available evidence you have to support your claim.
Failure to provide any of the relevant evidence will result in the assessment of your application being delayed.
