If your medical exemption certificate has been lost or stolen, you can view your certificate details online.
You do not need a copy of your certificate to claim free prescriptions.
If you can see your certificate details online, tick box ‘E’ on the back of your prescription. The pharmacy will accept this and mark it as 'Evidence not seen' on the prescription.

If you need a replacement certificate in the post, it can take up to 10 working days for this to arrive.
