Complete a change of address and bank details form if your new bank or building society is in the:

  • UK
  • Channel Isles
  • Isle of Man
  • Gibraltar

Your NHS Pension can only be paid into an account you’re named on.

Payments can be issued to a third-party account if we receive a valid power of attorney or Court of Protection (COP).

We can only pay to accounts where the organisation holds a UK banking licence or to building societies or credit unions. We cannot pay a pension to a pre-paid debit card provider.

Overseas bank account

If the new account is not in the UK, Channel Isles, Isle of Man or Gibraltar, complete the overseas bank mandate for the country where it’s located.

We cannot make payments to an overseas bank account in Great British Pounds (GBP).

If you’re retiring to a country which does not have a mandate, contact our helpdesk to check if we can arrange for your pension to be paid to this country.
