The Equitable Life Payment Scheme was set up by the government to make payments to Equitable Life policyholders who had a loss on their investments due to government maladministration between 1992 to 2000.
It’s no longer possible to make a claim or request a recalculation of the amount of money received from it.

On 1 January 2020, Equitable Life transferred all its remaining business to Utmost Life and Pensions. The transfer includes all members of the NHS Pension Scheme who held investments in the NHS Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVC) Scheme with Equitable Life.
