How do I update my date of birth on my NHS Pension?

If you’re:

• actively paying into the NHS Pension Scheme, you must contact your employer
• no longer paying into the Scheme, you must send us evidence of your date of birth

This must be sent by post to:

PO Box 683
Unit 5
Newcastle Upon Tyne
NE5 9EE

Any document you send as evidence must be an original or certified copy.

We recommend sending a certified copy of your passport and ID card rather than the original.

If you send your evidence by recorded delivery, it will be returned by recorded delivery.

We can accept a:

• valid UK driving licence
• valid passport
• valid UK identity card
• certified birth certificate
