If an employee wants to opt out of the NHS Pension Scheme, they must complete an SD502 form.
You cannot provide the SD502 form to the member once your auto-enrolment staging date has passed.
Before completing 'Part 2' of the SD502, make sure the member has fully completed 'Part 1' and has signed the form at least one day after the day they were enrolled.
If the form has not been completed correctly, return it to the member.
Close any records on Pensions Online (POL) if one has been created.
