If you want to change your payable date:
- contact your employer if you've sent an AW8 retirement benefits claim form
- write to us by email or post if you’ve sent an AW8P deferred benefits claim form
You can cancel your application to retire if your award payable date has:
- not passed
- passed but your award has not been completed
Write to us by email or post with your request.
If you’re claiming deferred benefits and have reached your normal pension age (NPA), we cannot cancel your application once your completed form has been received. This is because your benefits are payable from this point.
