The NHS Jobs system requires applicants to complete Equality and Diversity questions to allow recruiting organisations to submit their Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) data to NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSEI).

This is to make sure employees from all ethnic backgrounds have equal access to career opportunities and receive fair treatment in the workplace.

The system requires applicants to supply their nationality to establish they pass the Right to Work checks within the UK.
