If you have a valid maternity exemption certificate, you're entitled to:
- free NHS prescriptions
- free NHS dental treatment
For free NHS dental treatment, you must be pregnant or have given birth up to 12 months before starting the course of treatment.
You may be able to get more help if you or your partner are receiving a qualifying benefit or exemption.
If you’re not covered by a benefit or exemption, you can apply for help through the NHS Low Income Scheme.
