You must contact our helpdesk or contact us on social media if you've moved address and:
- applied for a UK GHIC after 29 June 2021
- hold a UK EHIC
If you applied for a UK GHIC before 29 June 2021, you can apply for a new card using our online service.
Change of name or date of birth
If your name or date of birth is incorrect due to a minor spelling or typing error, contact us to update your name or contact us on social media. We can correct this without any evidence.
For any other changes to your name, send a copy of either your:
- deed poll and valid passport
- marriage certificate
- final order or decree absolute
For any changes to your date of birth, send a copy of your:
- valid passport
- birth certificate
- marriage or civil partnership certificate
You can send this to us on social media or by email to:
- nhsbsa.ghicapplicationsohs@nhsbsa.nhs.uk for a UK GHIC
- nhsbsa.ehicapplicationsohs@nhsbsa.nhs.uk for a UK EHIC
You must include in your email your:
- Overseas Healthcare Services (OHS) reference number
- full name
- date of birth
- full address including postcode
- telephone number
- email address
- details which need to be amended
- correct details
Change of National Insurance number (NINO)
If you've entered your NINO incorrectly during the application process, contact us to update this. You may need to send evidence before it can be amended.
Your NINO is not printed on your UK GHIC or UK EHIC so this will not affect you being able to use it whilst we're updating your record.
Change of circumstances
If you’ve moved address and have a dependant UK GHIC or UK EHIC and no longer live with the main applicant, contact us to update this.
Any dependant children who have moved address must also be updated. You may need to send evidence before we can update this.
