Applicant - What is a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check?

A DBS Check, previously known as a CRB check, is done to confirm employees are suitable for the role.

Not all roles need a DBS check, they’re normally needed for jobs where the employee works with vulnerable groups, including children.

The employer will advise if a DBS check is needed.
