What must I do if an NHS Pension Scheme member has died?

If the deceased member was actively employed in the NHS at the time of their death, contact their NHS employer.

If they were not actively employed in the NHS or they were receiving their NHS Pension, contact us providing either their:

• membership number
• National Insurance (NI) number
