This depends on if you have an S2 for the treatment.

You do not have an S2

You may be eligible for a refund of any costs you've paid if your treatment was not pre-planned, was on a visit and was medically necessary.

You have an S2 but treatment is unrelated to your S2

You may be covered if you have an S2 for pre-planned treatment but the costs are for other treatment that is unrelated to the treatment your S2 was approved for.

If you've not paid for the costs, you may be covered by your UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) or UK European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).

If you do not have your UK GHIC or UK EHIC, you can apply for a Provisional Replacement Certificate (PRC).

If you've paid, you can apply for a refund.

Treatment is related to your S2

If the treatment was within the dates your S2 was issued for or if you've paid for the treatment, complete the Refund claim form – S2.

If the treatment was outside the dates of your S2 and you've not paid for the treatment, contact NHS England or the Health Board who approved your S2.
