How do I apply for NHS Healthy Start?

If you receive Universal Credit (UC), you must apply online.

You must contact us for an application form if you're either: 

• receiving Pension Credit with the child addition included
• under age 18 and do not receive any benefits
• an asylum seeker or have no recourse for public funds

Making changes to your current claim

If you already receive Healthy Start and need to update your claim, you do not need to make a new application.

If you’re already receiving Healthy Start, you must tell us:

• to add your child to your claim
• when you become pregnant
• your personal details have changed
