If a member of your family has access to public funds, the family member who has access must apply for NHS Healthy Start.

A family member includes a partner you’ve separated from, but who still lives in the same household.

If your family has no access to public funds, you can apply for NHS Healthy Start if:

  • you have at least one British child under 4 years old
  • your total family take-home pay is £408 or less per month after tax
  • you reside in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland
  • you cannot claim ‘public funds’ such as benefits because of your immigration status or because you do not have an immigration status

If you meet the criteria to applyemail healthystartNRPF@nhsbsa.nhs.uk for an application form.

We’ll ask you to send evidence confirming you meet the eligibility criteria. This must be sent by email to healthystartNRPF@nhsbsa.nhs.uk or by post to:
