If a member of your family has access to public funds, the family member who has access must apply for NHS Healthy Start.
A family member includes a partner you’ve separated from, but who still lives in the same household.
If your family has no access to public funds, you can apply for NHS Healthy Start if:
- you have at least one British child under 4 years old
- your total family take-home pay is £408 or less per month after tax
- you reside in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland
- you cannot claim ‘public funds’ such as benefits because of your immigration status or because you do not have an immigration status
If you meet the criteria to apply, email healthystartNRPF@nhsbsa.nhs.uk for an application form.
We’ll ask you to send evidence confirming you meet the eligibility criteria. This must be sent by email to healthystartNRPF@nhsbsa.nhs.uk or by post to:
